Solar-Ready Roofs in Las Vegas

If your roof has less life left than your solar panels, replace it first. Removing and reinstalling panels later costs far more than doing the roof once. 702 Roofing coordinates the reroof with your solar installer.

  • Reroof timed with solar install
  • Flashing for panel mounts
  • Tile and shingle systems
  • Coordination with your installer

Why reroof before solar

Solar-ready reroof · 702 Roofing

Solar panels typically outlast the underlayment on a 15 to 20 year old tile roof. If the roof needs work after the panels go up, they have to come off and go back on. Replacing or re-felting the roof first means the panels sit on a roof that will last as long as they do.

Solar-Ready Reroof questions

Should I replace my roof before installing solar?

If your roof is more than about 15 years old or the underlayment is near the end of its 20 to 25 year life, yes. Removing and reinstalling panels for a later reroof adds significant cost.
